Accra, Ghana · Since 2015
Ghanaian gold,handled with proof.
JED-CONFRA has traded gold in Ghana since March 2019. We buy with our own capital from licensed small-scale producers and licensed traders in the Eastern and Bono corridors, assay and weigh every lot in front of the person selling it, and move it under contracted security to the delivery point.

Two lines of business
One company, trading today and building toward the ground.
The gold desk earns its keep now. Mining is the intention we are working toward, and we say so in those words rather than dressing it up.
Gold Trading
A self-financed aggregation desk. Sellers arrive with doré or concentrate, we run an XRF assay and a calibrated weigh in the open, quote against the day's reference, and settle in front of them. Every lot leaves with a written ticket carrying weight, assay, price basis and the name of the person who sold it.
The trading office sits opposite the Xtra Gold office at Akyem Kwabeng, inside the catchment rather than a phone call away from it.
Mining
JED-CONFRA intends to enter mining through a separate special purpose vehicle for each asset, with the Eastern, Bono, Ahafo, Western and Western North regions as the target ground. That is the plan, stated as a plan.
The company holds no mineral right, mining lease or prospecting licence today. Nothing on the mining page should be read as an announcement of a project, a resource or an offer.
Invitation
Off-take partnership is open to foreign bullion and jewellery companies.
If you refine, cast, mint or manufacture outside Ghana and you want a Ghanaian counterparty who will show you the assay, the ticket and the chain behind every lot, this is an open door. We publish the process rather than the numbers, because the numbers belong in a conversation that starts with a non-disclosure agreement.
At the counter
What happens to a lot, in order.
The sequence does not change for a small seller or a large one. It is the only way a buyer three thousand miles away can trust what arrives.
-
Identity and source
Photo identification, the seller's own licence or the licence of the operation the material came from, and the location it was won. Recorded before a scale is touched.
-
Assay and weigh in the open
XRF reading and a calibrated weigh with the seller watching both displays. No back room, no second set of figures.
-
Price and settle
Quoted against the day's reference on a stated basis, agreed out loud, and settled on the spot from our own working capital.
-
Ticket, seal and move
A written ticket with weight, assay, basis and counterparty. The lot is sealed, logged and moved under contracted security to the delivery point.
Where the metal comes from
Inside the catchment, not above it.
Our buying runs through the Eastern Region corridor around Akyem Kwabeng, Atiwa West and Akwatia, and the Bono corridor around Sunyani. The trading office sits opposite the Xtra Gold office at Kwabeng, which is where the material is, where the licensed operators are, and where a dispute gets settled the same afternoon rather than the following week.
We buy only from holders of a valid small-scale mining licence or a valid dealer's licence, and only from people who can say where the material was won.
